SYSTEMIK VIOLENCE "Negative Mangel Attitude"

A swift, sharp kick in the nuts is delivered by this grinding band. I have no idea what a "mangel" attitude is but I'm guessing it's nothing too friendly. This record probably clocks in at less than 20 minutes and while that would be an outrageous cheat in most genres, SYSTEMIK VIOLENCE play d-beat influenced grind with a black metal touch and in this case, the shorter length works. These guys get in, wreck shit, get out again quickly.
Scandinavian metallic punk like ANTICIMEX and WOLFBRIGADE is a big influence here, but there are actually small differences between the songs that make this a tad livelier than a band just doing 10 DISCHARGE knockoffs in a row. There's a kind of black and roll feel that creeps in, especially in the raw vocals, and some songs veer into actual grindcore territory while others are more straight up d-beat. One thing you can always be sure of and that's that the songs will be short and fast.
Not a heck of a lot more to say about "Negative Mangel Attitude". It's fast, it's violent, it's anarchy given voice. Treat it as such and you'll enjoy the bruises.
