DON’T LET HER IN Blu-Ray Review

By Dark Starr

In my latest Philm Phreaks review.  I'm looking at a Blu-Ray release of a movie called "Don't Let Her In." This movie comes from Full Moon, and I'm a big fan of Full Moon. This thing is very creepy. It's fairly unpredictable, too.

A couple makes the decision to rent out an extra room in their place, and that is both a terrible choice and the set up for the film. A woman shows up to take them up on the offer. While she has no references, she provides them with the first six months paid in advance, so they overlook it. That's bad decision number two.

Without getting into too much spoiler information, it's obvious from the start that she is a "Goth" styled woman, as they literally say in the movie, who is into some witchcraft like things.

She seduces both members of the couple separately and builds a wedge between them. A mysterious man who we think is her stalker ex, starts showing up outside the building. Not everything is what it seems in this film, though.

The movie is downright spooky. It has some pretty serious frights and twists.  It includes a good amount of sexual content, but you probably figured that out when I said that she seduces both of them. It never rises to the point of any kind of porn, though, in part because the sex scenes have a real creepy "not right" angle to them.

The acting in the film is solid, and the movie has plenty spooky vibes. It doesn't get very gory, but there are some scary make up effects. The whole movie works really well. It's a fun, spooky piece of storytelling. In terms of bonus features, this includes trailers from other Full Moon films, but the real winner in that regard is a behind the scenes featurette that's very cool.
