"The Lucifer Principle"
By Octopi Mills
There's a militant, industrial aspect to the music, which sounds like a soundtrack to doomsday; dirty, metallic, and droning sounds set panic to swarm and the songs hook together like a long tapered worm squatting in your intestines...
There are samples littered around here and there which offer bleak words and the music itself carries the threat of nuclear war around the corner. There's not much variation or surprise in the music until one gets to the Johnny Cash cover at the end which is "God's Gonna Cut You Down." Of course this sounds pretty far off from the original, and carries the sluggish pace of the latter songs. This makes for a interesting thing, somewhat. I really don't know what to say of this one...It did not really grab me in any way and merely passed by as fast as it came.
