DESTRUCTOR

DESTRUCTOR     “Blood, Bone, And Fire”

By Theron Moore

Long running, Cleveland, OH metal beast DESTRUCTOR has been around a long time pounding out the hardest and heaviest of metal on and off since 1985. They’ve seen the highest of highs and lowest of lows but have persevered and never wavered when it came to the true test of steel: a belief in the music they make and faith in the fans. Trends come and go, we all know that, but DESTRUCTOR stays true to their cause. This point was proven with their September appearance at Blades Of Steel Metalfest, 2023 edition. If you weren’t a fan prior, you were when you left.

DESTRUCTOR’s forthcoming album, “Blood, Bone, And Fire” is set for release November 24 via Shadow Kingdom Records. It’s a horns up celebration of all things traditional, power, and speed metal. It’s a nine song rager which sounds more like a declaration of war than anything else. This is DESTRUCTOR laying down the law and announcing for everyone to hear, that they are still a force to be reckoned with in a genre they helped co-found. Wanna talk shots fired? I give you “Blood, Bone, And Fire”!

If you’ve followed DESTRUCTOR over the years and dug what they did with previous albums “Decibel Casualties” or “Sonic Bullet”, “Blood, Bone, And Fire” falls in line with the same spirit and fist in the air energy that the aforementioned records have. The only difference being that the new album is pure fire in the hole.

The standout tracks are the title track, “Hammering The Steel,” “Never Surrender,” and “Dominate.” All three songs are flag waving anthems fueled with a lot of pure rock N roll ferocity and a ton of swagger. I can’t think of four better tunes that not only represent DESTRUCTOR’s sound and image but the genre of traditional / power metal as well. “Blood, Bone, And Fire” is a must buy. DESTRUCTOR have managed to raise the bar high and redefine the standards for which power and traditional metal will forever be measured by.
