"Trapped in Perdition"

By Dr. Abner Mality

Old school thrash revivalists Fueled by Fire from Los Angeles Ca provide a nasty riffage ridden, pounding, thrash beating that covers all the lovely things like pestilence, pain, and some good old fashioned Armageddon stuff. It is hardly anything new or original but if you are into Slayer, Death or Testament, just name a few , then these guys are definitely worth a look-see.

"Trapped in Perdition" is a punishing album that is thrown at you with blinding speed and fury. Keeping with the old thrash ways, this album is dark and dirty. With titles like "Forsaken Deity" "Defaced Morality" and "Rotten Creation" you are in for a cheery ride through humanity's war mongering hate ridden side. They keep it old school with the tried and true riffage, unforgiving rhythm swaps and the things that made the 80s thrash legendary.

The 5th Track "Defaced Morality" is my top pick for this one as it takes me back to the days when I was quite a bit younger , driving too fast, drinking too much and living for that moment. Now for the one odd part.  "Abyeyant Future" is a slow instremental that is very good but out of place, I had to double check to see if it was Fueled by Fire or if I had gone to a different album by a different band, but it was them. As I said, it seemed out of place and a bit out of left field but is very well done. But to wrap this up with all thing considered, this is a good album and Fueled is a band to keep an eye on.

From the first chord to the last this is a high octane thrasher that will leave you beaten and wanting more.
