Don’t know what the meaning of “Badr Vogu” is, but I’ll bet it isn’t “have a nice day”. Here we have another slab of agonized, hateful sludge metal.

If my reviews are starting to sound like a broken record, maybe it’s because everything I listen to is starting to repeat, too. Badr Vogu are not bad at what they do…in fact, they do it well…but it’s all stuff I’ve heard before. That morose swampy death/doom ala Eyehategod, Weedeater and Sourvein…scraping, plodding riffs oozing with feedback, totrtured vocals spitting tales of booze and betrayal. All laced with the typical samples designed to make you feel like shit. It’s all here in spades, as the band slog through 8 fairly lengthy tunes that pound the brain without let up.

If you live and breathe hate-filled sludge, then dig into “Wroth” and fill your guts with misery. But if you wait a month or two, somebody just like them will come along.
