Wormfans, we've got a special treat for you this week at Wormwood Chronicles: my interview with all-time thrash metal messiah CHUCK BILLY of TESTAMENT! This is not my first chat with Chuck, but I think you'll agree it is significantly more in-depth and revealing than the previous one I did several years ago. Chuck really opens up on many fronts, including the important ideas behind new tracks like "True American Hate", "Native Blood" and "Last Stand for Independence", which come off Testament's latest album "Dark Roots of Earth". In addition, he talks about his radically different vocal approach for the new album, the story behind his side project DUBLIN DEATH PATROL and the lessons he learned from the late RONNIE JAMES DIO! Dig into this outstanding interrogation RIGHT HERE!
Some Wormwood news....it looks like we will not be getting the interview with BLOOD OF THE BLACK OWL that I thought we were, which is a real disappointment to me and OCTOPI MILLS. However, I can say that I am now trying for an interview with the long-running British rockers MAGNUM! THOR'S review of a recent "Carnival of Death" show featuring OBITUARY and BROKEN HOPE is also in the pipe, along with my review of KILL DEVIL HILL's recent local show.
Here's this week's edition of the Torture Chamber, which has a wild stylistic range from Satanic thrash to 70's retro rock to 90's style noise rock...
VISION OF DISORDER                                            "The Cursed Remain Cursed"
MAGNUM                                                               "On the 13th Day"
WITCHCRAFT                                                         "Legend"
SATAN'S WRATH                                                    "Galloping Blasphemy"
HOODED MENACE                                                   "Effigies of Evil"
COCKS ARQUETTE                                                   "Cocks Arquette"
