Greetings and salutations, hapless humanoids! It is I, Dr. Abner Mality, chief scientist at Wormwood Laboratories and curator of this compendium of the crazed and cruel! Welcome to the latest version of Wormwood Chronicles, the journal of the odd that I and my fellow inmates...er, scientists...have produced in one form or another since 1998! As always, Wormwood remains devoted to the many facets of underground culture. This newest version is easier to read and navigate but contains the same eccentric filth you've come to expect from us Worm-fiends.
Over the next few months, I'll be working hard to get archives of all the classic interviews, reviews and features from the old Wormwood moved over here to the new address. So be patient! You will gradually see the latest version of WC fill up with hallmarks of the past while we continue to bring you all-new tidbits in terror.
For the first time, I now have TOTAL CONTROL over the entire updating procedure. This will give us a lot more flexibility and might allow us to do even MORE articles. For example, look to see an increase in the Philm Phreak section. I also hope to get some new reviewers to handle the mountain of music we have to plow through.
No matter where you go in this version of WC, you will always see the dreaded link bar to your left. This will let you check out any department whenever you feel like it. The Torture Chamber section is going to be real active right away and I'll be putting in hundreds of old reviews over the next few months.
I want to thank old Wormwood pal Scary Dan from Scaryhouse Inc. for his incomparable help in setting up the new WC for me. It is a debt I can hardly repay (though I will try to dig up a few fresh cadavers for him!) I also want to extend thanks to my old webmaster Sgt. Deth and wife Kat for the 5-plus years they helped me with the old Wormwood. Their assistance was irreplaceable.
And now...the new Wormwood Chronicles awaits! Look for new interviews with Immolation, Pat Mastelotto of King Crimson, Heathen, Sexdrome and more, as well as a new Wormwood Files on killer plants!
Stay sick, humanoids!
